A used panel from the same model beats a generic one
A door, fender, hood or tailgate that came off a real car of the same year and model lines up the way a generic aftermarket panel never quite does. The mounting points, the trim clips and the body lines are already right, because the panel was built for that exact car in the first place.
Some panels come off the yard color-matched to a specific factory paint code, worth asking about when you call. Others are paintable primer or bare metal and go straight to your body shop. Either way it is an OEM piece, not a reproduction.

Doors, fenders, hoods and tailgates sit outdoors in the yard on South 11th Street, racked by type rather than buried in a warehouse. When you call, the counter pulls the panel that matches your year, make, model, trim level and body style before you make the drive over.
Power windows, power locks and mirror wiring differ between trim levels on the same model year, so tell Dave at the counter which options your car has when you call. A base trim door and a loaded trim door can look identical from across the lot and wire up completely differently.
Chapter 03
One phone call, one matching door
Jeffrey Foj needed a matching door for his 2012 Chrysler 200. He called the counter first to ask, and it was on the rack. “They had it. Glad I called them,” he said afterward, and two of the crew pulled the door and loaded it up for him.
That is the standard trip for a body panel: call ahead with the year, make and model, confirm it is on the shelf, then drive over with a vehicle that can actually carry a door, fender or hood home. A pickup or anything with a full-size trunk works; a compact sedan usually does not.
